Happy Friday the 13th!
The holiday shopping season is upon us!
Get your copy of La Masa A Casa (The Dough at Home-An Italian-Latina Cookbook) for the food lover, foodie, or home cook in your life. Available in paperback and for Kindle.
For the title of my cookbook, I’ve combined the word for dough in Spanish, “masa,” with the Italian term for staying at home, “a casa,” and woven in childhood memories and other stories to explain the inspiration behind each recipe. I’ve also written this cookbook during this time of quarantine to offer cooking activities to try with the whole family with a hopeful eye toward the future.
In her endorsement of La Masa A Casa, Jane Gabriels, Ph. D. (author Witnessing the Legacy of Jeff Buckley, contributor to Latina Outsiders: Remaking Latina Identity (Routledge), and co-editor Curating Live Arts: critical perspectives, essays, conversations (Berghahn Books)) says, “Food is family, food is place, food is memory and continuity. Stephanie shares recipes from the heart, from her family to you and yours.”
Wishing you a safe, inspired weekend!
Love,
Stephanie
